Patrick's First Helicopter Flight Lesson

This week we're in Kauai, partnering with Mauna Loa Helicopters and doing a little helicopter training, too. In between setting up Nflightcams on their helicopters, Patrick has been taking flight lessons. I have to admit, I'm really enjoying the fact that Patrick is the student now. Perhaps he'll have a little more compassion on my struggles to learn how to land? Probably not. We have a short clip for you to see today. They didn't leave the airport during this first lesson, but we should have some amazing views to show you soon.

I have a NFlightcam in my helicopter (MD 500E). I have found that if you move the camera closer to a point directly below the rotorhead, you can eliminate most of the vibration you see in your short video.

I have problems with reflections on my canopy. It seems that you do not have those issues. Are you using the standard lens? Polarized? Direction of the Sun? I’m considering moving the camera outside unless you have a better idea.
