In order to connect an audio cable to the GoPro Hero9, Hero10, Hero11, or Hero12, the battery door must be removed, which exposes the battery. Our kit includes a replacement door that covers the battery while allowing the cable to be plugged in through a custom cutout.

This kit offers a perfect all in one solution for everything you could need to setup an action camera in the cockpit. The audio cable works great and brings in crystal clear sound when listening back in the recordings of ATC. (I will say that sometimes it is a little rough in the beginning right after turning on avionics and start up, but I had seen other people say similar things. I know this is no fault of NFlightCam but I have found adjusting squelch and toggling on/off any noise cancelling features on your headset seems to do the trick. The audio just sounds weird sometimes coming through the headset when this happens, but it usually disappears within a minute or two.) But as I said, not a fault of NFlightCam because their products are great and high quality just wanted to give a tip to anyone else experiencing a similar issue. Not to mention, I wanted to purchase this kit but substitute the normal 6ft cable for the XL 10ft version to make it easier to cord manage (highly recommend paying extra for the longer cable because you can then tuck it away and snake it through your already busy cockpit with all of the extra slack in the wire) and the owners of this company emailed me personally back within 10 minutes of receiving my inquiry and had generated a custom order invoice for me to use so I could buy the configuration I had requested. Great customer service, fast shipping, and great high quality products. Just ordered some additional mounts from this company to expand filming options. Thanks NFlightCam!
