Nflightcam Propeller Filter for GoPro Hero9, Hero10, Hero11, and Hero12
Designed to fit the GoPro Hero9, Hero10, Hero11 and Hero12, this filter kit reduces or removes the propeller in most of the conditions encountered on a typical VFR flight. Mount it inside your cockpit to capture your flight without distracting propeller artifact ruining your video!
This kit includes two filters: one for standard light (ND8) and an additional one for bright light (ND16). A soft pouch with dividers is included to protect your filters from scratches.
HOW IT WORKS:
The GoPro's image sensor is controlled by the amount of light it senses. In normal lighting conditions, the sensor runs faster than the propeller, causing distortion and odd lines in your video. This filter modulates the amount of light entering the sensor and keeps the speed of the sensor slower than the propeller. Since the amount of light changes constantly and the filter does not, we chose a Neutral Density filter that reduces or removes the propeller in 90% of the conditions experienced in VFR flight. For best results, we recommend avoiding shots straight into the sun.
This filter is also available as part of our NFlightCam Cockpit Kit for GoPro Hero9, Hero10, Hero11 Black.

Great customer service!
I’ve been using NFC since GoPro Hero4. I bought the Hero9 cockpit kit a while ago but one of the prop filter was broken (there were two in the kit) so I had to contact NFC to see if they offer just one single lens. I heard back within a business day and had my replacemenr order in right away!
Faster shutter speeds means exceeding the propeller speed
Newer GoPros have high resolution at very high shutter speeds which makes propellers the focal point (and a funky focal point) of the video. Increasing ND filters can tame the whirling katanas. Having various ND filters for bright or very bright days is the answer. Nflightcam filters have worked well for me. Good quality, tight fit and quick shipping.
Works as Advertised!
Used in on our Hero 10 Black for the first time today. Really cut down on the prop wagonwheeling effects.
